Quarterly Update :)

So I have not updated since March and we have had lost going on in our world! We have been doing way to many things to list everything but I will hit on some of the fun things. I am amazed at how much my angel has grown and how much she is learning every day! She is going to be so much smarter than me very soon! LOL!

In March we finally took Family pictures and I started being more active in the MOMs group I joined. We have been to the Zoo, story time, doing crafts, and having moms nights out! I have really enjoyed getting to know everyone and making new friends!
April we celebrated Easter, this year was so fun seeing her go after the eggs and seeing the excitement on her face when she realized some had chocolate in them! We also went to a petting zoo, road the Train at Forest Park and went to a few birthday parties.
May was a trying month for me because Ethan and I went to Puerto Rico for his best friends wedding, I had never stayed away from her overnight and it was really hard for me! But I knew she was in good hands and I talked to her every day and had a great time at the wedding and on the beach! Once we got back we celebrated Mothers day and i got lots of snuggle time with my little monkey!
June we celebrated Sheldon's graduation from Burleson High School and Megan's graduation from Springtown High School! I am very proud of both of these young adults I know they will both have great things coming their ways soon! We celebrated Fathers day and took Tinsley to Concert In the Gardens for the first time, and she loved it! I can not wait for next year!
July is one of my favorite months, I love fireworks!! We watched a few fireworks displays and turns out Tinsley loves them just as much as I do!! We also got to spend some time with our long lost friends from Dallas at a poker party the Hanson's hosted. I am glad Tinsley is getting to spend some time with our friends and their babies!!

Wow

I'm such a bad blogger!!
So on January 17th I turned 30 and had an amazing dinner date with my husband (I did not want a big party) and we went to the movies. We helped throw a surprise birthday party for Ethan's dads 60th birthday and it was a huge success! Towards the end of the month Tinsley and I both got sick and Ethan had to take care of us!

In February I joined a local MOM's club and had the first meeting with them. Tinsley loved it!! She got to hand out valentines, and run around with a lot of kids her age. I went to a party at a friends house and ended up signing up to sell the products! I am officially a Thirty-one gifts consultant!! (I will be having my first party on March 11th) Tinsley had her first Dentist appointment and did good! She even got a new purple toothbrush for being a good girl! Then we went to Austin to see my little brother Clay get married. We stayed with Jason and Julie in Austin and Tinsley loved hanging with uncle J and Frisbee even showed some love towards the end of our visit.

March has started off great! We had our family pictures on this past Saturday and i think they are going to turn out great! I got my hair cut and teeth cleaned, that always makes me feel better. Tinsley and I went to the zoo with the Wortham's and had a good time. We are going back with the moms group on Tuesday! Tinsley loves the fish and turtles!!

Tinsley is 1!!!

On December 9th Tinsley turned ONE!!
Where has the time gone? I can not believe she is a year old already!!
She is walking and repeating things we say, climbing, and getting into everything she is not supposed to! She is growing and learning so much it is amazing. I am so glad I get to stay home and see this on a daily basis!

December 1st

We went to Grapevine to start off the holidays with the parade of lights and tree lighting. I dressed Tinsley and myself up in our holiday shirts and as soon as Dad got home we loaded up the car and headed out. We got a really good spot and set up our chars and put Tinsley in her stroller between us. Even though it rained (Yes I was prepared) we still had a great time!! Here are some pictures!

Thanksgiving 2011

This Thanksgiving we went to Ethan's moms house to get together with the family. We all took our dishes and empty stomachs and headed to Shelley's. I made Ham, green beans, cranberry sauce, corn casserole and rolls... I think everything was wonderful and loved that we got left overs for the rest of the week! However Tinsley was not so lucky she got sick and we had to leave early. We took her to the urgent care the next morning and they said she has chicken pox, however we didn't think they where right so we made and appointment for her at her regular doctor. Turns out she had hand foot and mouth. So we put our house on lock down and snuggled with her until she was herself again.

November is going to be a very busy month for us but I am really going to try and post once a week with the things I am thankful for. I have friends that are doing this and I thought it was a great idea.

The end of September

We had a busy September! Since the weather was nice we have been to the park a few times, and to a concert in Keller park. I took Tinsley and Sofia to the aquarium at Grapevine Mills mall and had a lot of fun! We took Tinsley to another Rangers game, and we have been doing lots of shopping since Halloween is coming up. I always decorate but since I have been reading pinterest I am doing more handmade crafts. (and I am loving it!!) We made a Boo sign, a wreath and I have started Tinsley's Cookie Monster costume. I have also made a Fall wreath for the front door. I still have a few more things I would like to make if I can get Ethan to cut some wood for me I will be in business.

Here are some pictures of Tinsley crawling thru the coffee table, and behind the couch to escape my "baby jail" aka the living room. She is also eating almost everything we are eating. She loves chicken, macaroni and cheese and spaghetti! I hope this means she will not be a picky eater!

9 Mo

I have got to start updating this blog and stop spending so much time on Pinterest!

Tinsley is getting very mobile these days, she is crawling around very quickly and it almost seems like she is running from me. She is pulling up on the table, chair, pretty much anything she can! Recently I have been having to tell her "no" a lot so she has started shaking her head no back at me. It makes me smile when I am trying to be serious and make sure she understands me, she is just so stinking cute! I am trying to update as much as I can so I can make Tinsley a book from the blog.
Since our last post we have been to 2 pool parties, met Tinsley's new friend Shelby attended 2 Rangers games with out Tinsley, birthday parties and church.
In September we have:
Sept 2nd we went to my old office to sign the papers to Refi our house and Tinsley was a hit with all the Ladies. They are almost all grandmothers and all of them are suckers for babies! I sure do miss them sometimes!!
Sept 3rd I went to a bachelorette party for a friend and had a lot of fun!
On Sept 5th (Labor Day) we went to the zoo along with everyone else in DFW and saw the monkeys, zebras, birds, elephants, and fish... however I am disappointed with the new aquarium. The fish are Tinsley's favorite part and maybe it was because of the crowds we missed a lot of stuff, but it seems so much smaller.
Sept 7th Ethan took off work early because the weather was so nice and we went to the park for a walk and so Tinsley could swing.
Sept 9th we went to the Rangers game and it was nice enough to take Tinsley with us again. She sat in the chair between Ethan and I and played with her toys, and smiled at the couple behind us. From what I can tell she had a really good time!
Sept 10th we went to a church class, and then went to our friends the Hanson's welcome back to Texas party!! (glad they are back)
Sept 12th was her 9 mo check up and she got the first half of her flu shot. I watched our friends little girl and we went to the Aquarium in Grapevine Mills Mall. It was a little overpriced but the girls enjoyed it!
Today I did not feel like getting out so we did Laundry, cleaned and messed up the living room and did dishes!

Getting Crafty

So I have started an Etsy store so I can see if anyone is interested in my crafts. So far i have had two orders and a lot of looks. I have made bags, blankets, burp rags, onesies, bows, bow holders. You want it I will try and make it! Here are some of the things I have made.

Stay-cation part 2

We road the train in the stockyards that goes over the trinity river and down past 7th street and Trinity park then back. We did upgrade to a cart with AC since is was 100 that day, and Tinsley still has to wear her 'crown'.



We also did a little shopping while we were down in the stock yards! I love it down there it is so fun and timeless.

Here are some pictures from her First 4th of July. We went with Ethan's mom and sister and her family to the Trinity River festival and there were a ton of people!!




We also went to NRH20, here is a picture of her and her cute swimsuit! She was ok with the water but did not love it. Hopefully next year she will enjoy the swimming pool more.

Stay-cation

Ethan took a week off of work so we could have a little family vacation. We had a few things planned but it was so hot... and still is! We went to the children's aquarium, NRH2O, the Texas Discovery Gardens, we road the train in the stock yards, and walked around Grapevine Mills Mall.

She loved the aquarium!! Since we went with Daddy, we have been back with aunt Alesia and the boys. I have also taken her to Cabela's to look at the fish there. I think it is safe to say she loves fish!! Here is a picture of her with the aligator snapping turtle that is about 60 years old.


There is an area where you can feed the stingrays and Ethan took her down to see them, I think they thought it was eating time again because they were swimming right up to the glass and splashing around. She thought that was great and smiled and laughed at them. Maybe when she is older I will let her feed them. Here is their picture with the stingrays.


Since we were in Dallas we went across the way to the Texas Discovery Gardens to see the butterfly exhibit. There were a ton of butterflys!! She did not seem to excited about them but it was also really warm and humid in there.

Quick 7 mo update

Tinsley is now 7 months old and growing like a weed!! I can not believe how big she is getting!! She is now 22lbs and I can totally tell my arms are getting stronger! She is eating two 'meals' a day and still getting her formula. We had a mini stay-cation since she is to little to travel and enjoy things. Next year we plan to go to the beach and then Disney! I can not wait!!

More to come as soon as I get an extra 5 minutes! lol

Where has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday I was checking into the hospital eagerly awaiting the arrival of our little princess... That was 6 months ago! WOW!!

Tinsley has done so much in her short little life. She has attended 2 Rangers games, the Colonial, Church, Concerts in the Gardens, NRH20, she has been on channel 5, participated in the March of Dimes, witnessed the Mavs win a championship, attempted to swim in the pool, shopped till she dropped on many weekends and has had play dates with her new friends. Recently she was sick and had her first trip the the urgent care clinic, thankfully she had a speedy recovery! I am sure I am forgetting some things, but she has had some fun in her 6 months of life and I can only imagine the things we have to look forward to. I am so happy we get to experience life again thru her eyes, she lights up at the simple things and smiles at nothing. She makes my days so much brighter and my nights longer.

Since our last post she has gotten her "crown" to help correct the flat spot on the back of her head. It bothered her the first few nights but she is now used to it and could care less about it being on or off. Here are some pictures of our latest outings.

Sweet Baby!!

I think I may have the sweetest baby ever! She wakes up in the best mood and smiles at me as soon as she can see me over her crib, when we walk around the house she always hold on to my shirt and "kisses" my shoulder. No matter who is holding her or what she is doing as soon as she sees me and I tell her Hello she has the biggest smile on her face. I know a lot of babies do this but it makes me feel so special!!

Tinsley has started sitting up on her own, tripod style mostly. She grabs her toys with her hands and then immediately puts them in her mouth! She has started holding her own bottle, it works out about half the time! She has been eating cereal and just started eating stage 1 baby foods, so far she likes squash and sweet potatoes... those are the only two things she has tries though. I am hoping this is going to mean she will be a good eater!! I have a friend that just started making her own baby food and I am thinking I am going to do the same! Here is a picture of her first taste of cereal!


Tinsley has also become an avid sports fan thinks to her dad! We went to our first Family Rangers game and Tinsley loved it!! She has an outfit for every team we watch! Here is a picture of her in her Mav's gear!


We also went to the Colonial this year on Saturday and she was really good!! We watched David Toms and his partner for a while and walked around the course. It was warm so we did not stay all day but we did have fun!! Here is a picture of the two of us waiting for the shuttle!

April 2011 Update and Pictures

Picture Updates

She loves to play on her play mat and grab the toys and make them sing to her. She would play there all day if I let her.




Now that she is able to control her head we have been putting her in the jumperoo and she loves it! She bounces around, coos and smiles, and I don't mind letting her sit in there as long as she wants so her head will round out.





Her baby ear muffs came in last week!! We are now ready for Rangers games and Fireworks!!

3 Months

Time keeps passing me by and I can not find the time to update the blog. Lots of things have happened in a month. We have had a couple physical therapy appointments for Tinsley's head, the left side is flatter than the right side. She has a mild case of torticollis so we learned stretches and movements that will help loosen the muscle so she can have a full range of motion in her neck and head. I have been doing the exercises at home with her and she seems to be doing much better, and she now moves her head in both directions. We had a fun shopping trip with GG, Mi Mi and aunt Alesia, I got a new dress and Ethan got a new shirt. But for the first time we did not get anything for Tinsley, until GG and I went to TJ Maxx after we dropped off Alesia and MiMi. :) we could not resist!!
